2151 加拿大建筑师职责概述

建筑师要为商业建筑、学会建筑和住宅建筑的建造和改装进行构思、计划并开发设计方案。他们受雇于建筑公司、私营企业、政府机构，或者自雇。 Architects conceptualize, plan and develop designs for the construction and renovation of commercial, institutional and residential buildings. They are employed by architectural firms, private corporations and governments, or they may be self-employed.

2151 加拿大建筑师的主要职责 Main duties 

建筑师应履行下列部分或者全部职责： Architects perform some or all of the following duties:

• 与客户协商以确定翻新建筑的类型、风格和目的、或者考虑重建 Consult with clients to determine type, style and purpose of renovations or new building construction being considered

• 对建筑物进行构思和外观的设计，并为设计规范、建筑材料、花费成本和施工进度制定计划 Conceptualize and design buildings and develop plans describing design specifications, building materials, costs and construction schedules

• 为客户准备设计草图和模型 Prepare sketches and models for clients

• 为承包商和技工准备或监督图纸、说明书以及其它工程文件的准备情况 Prepare or supervise the preparation of drawings, specifications and other construction documents for use by contractors and tradespersons

• 准备招标文件，参与合同谈判并选择建筑承包商 Prepare bidding documents, participate in contract negotiations and award construction contracts

• 监督建筑工地活动以确保符合相关规范 Monitor activities on construction sites to ensure compliance with specifications

• 对建筑项目进行可行性研究和财务分析 Conduct feasibility studies and financial analyses of building projects.

• 建筑师可能专门从事于某种特定的建筑型式，如住宅、商业、工业或机构建筑 Architects may specialize in a particular type of construction such as residential, commercial, industrial or institutional.

2151 加拿大建筑师的就业要求 Employment requirements

• 需要得到经过认证的建筑学校的学士学位或者完成加拿大皇家建筑师学会的教学大纲的学习 A bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of architecture or Completion of the syllabus of studies from the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) is required.

• 可能需要建筑专业硕士学位 A master’s degree in architecture may be required.

• 要求在注册建筑师的带领下完成3年的实习 Completion of a three-year internship under the supervision of a registered architect is required.

• 要求通过建筑师注册考试 Completion of the architect registration examination is required.

• 要求注册省级建筑学会 Registration with the provincial association of architects in the province of work is required.
