3233 加拿大执照护士职责概述
执照护士通常在医师、注册护士或者其他医疗队成员的指导下提供护理服务。他们受雇于医院、疗养院、扩展服务机构、康复中心、医生办公室、诊所、公司、私人家庭和社区保健中心。手术室技术员也属于该项。Licensed practical nurses provide nursing care usually under the direction of medical practitioners, registered nurses or other health team members. They are employed in hospitals, nursing homes, extended care facilities, rehabilitation centres, doctors’ offices, clinics, companies, private homes and community health centres. Operating room technicians are included in this unit group.

A 执照护士应履行下列部分或者全部职责： Licensed practical nurses perform some or all of the following duties:
• 在规定范围内，基于病人的病情评估和保健计划提供护理服务 Provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures
• 进行护理措施，比如测量声明体征、采用包括无菌敷料的无菌技术来控制感染、检测营养摄入量并进行标本采集 Perform nursing interventions such as taking vital signs, applying aseptic techniques including sterile dressing, ensuring infection control, monitoring nutritional intake and conducting specimen collection
• 管理药品，并观察和记录治疗效果 Administer medication and observe and document therapeutic effects
• 为患者提供术前和术后的个人护理 Provide pre-operative and post-operative personal and comfort care
• 监测已经制定的呼吸疗法和静脉注射疗法 Monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy
• 监测病人的病情进展情况，评估护理措施的效果，并与医疗队成员商议探讨病人的病情和治疗效果 Monitor patients’ progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and consult with appropriate members of healthcare team
• 向个人及其家属提供安全健康教育 Provide safety and health education to individuals and their families.
B 手术室技术员应履行下列部分或者全部职责： Operating room technicians perform some or all of the following duties:
• 对病人手术区进行清洗、灭菌等，为手术做准备工作 Prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving and sterilizing the patients’ operative areas
• 手术助理负责摆放仪器、调定设备、帮助外科手术人员穿戴手术衣和手套、给外科医生传递手术工具 Assist in surgery by laying out instruments, setting up equipment, assisting surgical teams with gowns and gloves and passing instruments to surgeons
• 为手术室及手术室的仪器进行清洗、消毒 Clean and sterilize the operating room and instruments.
3233 加拿大执照护士就业要求 Employment requirements
• 完成在职培训、大学学习或者参加其他认证机构的培训，并获得执照护士证书 Completion of a vocational, college or other approved program for licensed practical nurses is required.
• 各省和地区都要求从业人员必须在监察机构注册 Registration with a regulatory body is required in all provinces and territories.
• 除魁北克外，其他各省都要求从业人员必须通过加拿大护士资格考试 Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination is required in all provinces and territories except Quebec.
• 对手术室人员，还要求必须接受过专业的手术技术课堂培训或参加过在职培训 Operating room technicians require either additional academic training in operating room techniques or on-the-job training.
