7241 加拿大电工职责概述 

电工的工作主要包括布置、装配、安装、测试、检修和修复建筑物和其它设施内的电线、灯具、控制装置及相关设备。他们受雇于电气承包商、建筑和其它设施的维修部门，或者自雇。Electricians in this unit group lay out, assemble, install, test, troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices and related equipment in buildings and other structures. They are employed by electrical contractors and maintenance departments of buildings and other establishments, or they may be self-employed.

7241 加拿大电工主要职责 Main duties 

该项中电工应履行下列部分或全部职责：Electricians in this unit group perform some or all of the following duties:

• 读懂图纸、电路图、电气规程规范来决定新装置或已有装置的线路配置图 Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations

• 把线从管道或墙和地板上的小孔拉出 Pull wire through conduits and through holes in walls and floors

• 为电力设备安装支架和挂钩 Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment

• 安装、替换并维修照明器材、开关、继电器、断路器面板等电控和配置设备 Install, replace and repair lighting fixtures and electrical control and distribution equipment, such as switches, relays and circuit breaker panels

• 用电线连接形成装置及电路元件 Splice, join and connect wire to fixtures and components to form circuits

• 安装、替换或者维修后用测试设备测试电路的连续性，确保设备的兼容性和安全性 Test continuity of circuits using test equipment to ensure compatibility and safety of system, following installation, replacement or repair

• 寻找电子、电气设备中的故障，并及时置换故障组件 Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems and remove and replace faulty components

• 为音像设备、通信设备、加热和制冷设备连接电源 Connect electrical power to audio and visual communication equipment, signalling devices and heating and cooling systems

• 执行定期维修计划并做好记录 Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.

7241 加拿大电工就业要求 Employment requirements 

• 通常要求中学学历 Completion of secondary school is usually required.

• 通常要求完成四到五年的学徒计划 Completion of a four- to five-year apprenticeship program is usually required.

• 在纽芬兰与拉布拉多省、新斯科舍、爱德华王子岛、新不伦瑞克省、魁北克、 安大略、萨斯喀彻温省、艾伯塔省、不列颠哥伦比亚省、努纳武特、西北和育空地区，可以且必须获得建筑电工技工证书，但在马尼托巴省则是自愿 Trade certification for construction electricians is compulsory in Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia,Nunavut, the Northwest Territories and the Yukon, and available, but voluntary, in Manitoba.

• 在魁北克和安大略，必须获得电工技工证书（国内和农村级别）。但在纽芬兰和拉布拉多省属于自愿性质 Trade certification for electricians (domestic and rural) is mandatory in Quebec and Ontario, and available, but voluntary, in Newfoundland and Labrador.

• 合格的建筑电工也需要全国通用的省级技工证书 Interprovincial trade certification (Red Seal) is also available to qualified construction electricians.

• 具备了一定经验之后有机会晋升为主管 Progression to supervisory positions is possible with experience.
