持中国驾照 能在加拿大开车？开多久？

When you move to Ontario, you can use a valid licence from another province, state or country for 60 days. After 60 days, you need to switch to an Ontario driver’s licence.

- 另外特别提醒大家一点的：安省的新移民刚刚登陆，60天内可以用中国驾照开车，对吧？是的。但是如果你考了G1了，那么你中国驾照就不能在这里开车了，你的身份就是G1的，你开车被抓到的话，可能会有处罚。

Visiting: less than 3 months
If you are visiting Ontario for less than 3 months and want to drive while you’re here, you can use a valid driver’s licence from your own province, state or country.
Visitor身份的中国驾照可以在安省开车3个月。
You will also need to:
- be at least 16 years old
- have proper insurance coverage for the vehicle you will drive
- carry an original (or exact) copy of the vehicle ownership permit
- obey traffic laws, drive safely and avoid collisions when you drive
Visiting: more than 3 months
If you will be visiting from another country for more than 3 months, you will need an International Driver’s Permit (IDP) from your own country.

This is a special licence that allows motorists to drive internationally when accompanied by a valid driver’s licence from their country.
You need to have this permit with you when you arrive in Ontario. You cannot apply for one once you are here.

新移民
你可以在90天使用中国驾照。After moving here, you have 90 days to switch over your licence. You can drive with an existing, valid licence in the meantime.
Visitor 旅游访问

留学生
如果你是留学生，只要你是一所在ICBC认可院校注册的全日制学生，就一直可以使用中国驾照直到毕业。You can drive for longer than six months, but must be registered full-time at a recognized institution and may need a vehicle permit. Visit any Driver Licensing Office for more information. Note: it is important to always carry and be able to show your Student ID card when asked to do so by a police.

注意：

- 自2013年1月7起，当你拿到新的卑诗省驾照的时候，便要向ICBC交出原有驾照，因为卑诗省法律规定你只能持有一个驾驶执照。如果你想要在中国继续开车，你可以回中国挂失，这也不是大问题。
考取BC省的驾照分两种情况：
1. 如果你没有驾驶经验，或是在中国的驾驶经验少于2年，那么你需要按照卑诗省的法规，一级一级考上去，从L牌(学车牌)、N牌(新手牌)、7级驾照、最后是5级驾照。
2. 如果你在中国有两年驾驶经验，就可以直接考5级驾照了。考试时记得带上你的中国驾照、驾照翻译、ID、和工作许可或学习许可文件。
Alberta
阿省的驾照等级挺复杂的，从class 1到7呢。考试也分理论知识（7号）、路试（5号GDL或ADVANCED)。

It is the law in Alberta that a person must surrender any and all foreign driver’s licences when they obtain any class of Alberta operator’s licence. It is illegal in Alberta to hold any other driver’s licence and an Alberta driver’s licence at the same time.

以下国家接受中国驾照

德国：除了中国驾照外，还需要一份德国法院指定的翻译文件，由德国驻华使馆认证过的德语驾照文件，有效期为6个月。
荷兰：中国驾照在荷兰可使用6个月。
比利时：中国与比利时两国驾照互认。中国驾照在法定翻译、法院认证盖印之后，就可以到驻地的市政厅申请换成比利时本地的驾照了。
葡萄牙：中国驾照可以在葡萄牙有效使用3个月。
法国：中国驾照在一年内有效，直到获得常规居留权为止。
意大利：中国驾照拿到法院翻译公证后，一年内有效。
瑞典：中国驾照一年内有效。
