7251 加拿大管道工职责概述 

管道工负责安装、维修和维护住宅、商业和工业建筑内用于供水和污水处理系统的管道、灯具和其它水管设备。他们受雇于工厂、厂房和类似机构的维护部门，直接受雇于管道承包商或者自雇。Plumbers install, repair and maintain pipes, fixtures and other plumbing equipment used for water distribution and waste water disposal in residential, commercial and industrial buildings.They are employed in maintenance departments of factories, plants and similar establishments, by plumbing contractors, or they may be self-employed.

7251 加拿大管道工主要职责 Main duties 

加拿大管道工应履行下列部分或全部职责： Plumbers perform some or all of the following duties:

• 能读懂蓝图、图纸和说明书并设计管道系统、供水网和污水排水系统的布置 Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems

• 安装、维修并维护家用、商用或工业用管道系统 Install, repair and maintain domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems

• 为安装在墙里和地板里的管接头、穿洞和卡具等进行定位并标记他们的位置 Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors

• 为管道和管道配件在墙上和地板里开口 Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings

• 用手和电动工具或机器来测量、切割、弯曲管道、给管道打孔 Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines

• 具备中学文化程度 Completion of secondary school is usually required.

• 完成了四到五年的学徒训练，或具有五年以上的相关工作经验并且学习了管道专业的高中、大学或者工业课程，才能有资格获得贸易证书 Completion of a four- to five-year apprenticeship program or A combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in plumbing is usually required to be eligible for trade certification.

• 在新斯科舍省、爱德华王子岛、新布伦瑞克省、魁北克、安大略、萨斯克彻温省、阿尔伯塔省和不列颠哥伦比亚省，可以且必须获得专业的贸易证书。但在纽芬兰和拉布拉多省、马尼托巴省、努纳武特、西北和育空地区则是自愿的 Trade certification is compulsory in Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia and available, but voluntary, in Newfoundland and Labrador, Manitoba, Nunavut, the Northwest Territories and the Yukon.
